We love what we do. We get to work with a wide variety of individuals from various backgrounds. Learn more about their dreams, their aspirations, and do what we can to help them bring those dreams into a reality. We've really enjoyed working with our clients over the past several years. We recently completed work on a site that speaks directly to a social issue that has an impact on everyone.
We recently had the privilege of working with the team at Tennessee Valley Coalition to End Homelessness. They do a great job on keeping a focus on those in need in East Tennessee, serving as a resource to those who want to start helping others and those who need help. With the launch of their website their hope is to put more information in front of more eyes. To continue to be a resource to those in need seeking assistance by being a directory of local organizations. Also to help organizations with the start up process from grant writing, sponsorship, and visibility.
Hop over to TVCEH's new site and give them a look. You can also find them on Facebook as well.

Many of our clients have noticed that we're no longer taking direct credit card payments and that we've instead opted to provide a choice of 3rd party gateways in PayPal and GoogleCheckout. As always you can also print out your invoice and mail it to the address provided. Some have inquired as to why this change occurred so we thought we'd take a moment to address those questions.
While we're in the process of growing our business we are always evaluating our costs. Be it in these lean economic times or frankly, any other time, we feel that this evaluation is something we should do over and over again to insure that we're staying competitive in the market. One consistent cost we faced each month was a charge from our credit card processor. We must state that the company itself always provided great service, and when we left they didn't charge us a separation fee or closure fee. Our month to month credit card volume did not justify the monthly fee we were assessed each month regardless if one of our clients payed via credit card that month or not. For this reason we decided to move to PayPal & GoogleCheckout for our merchant processing needs. If in a given month our clients decide to pay us via check or cash then we're not levied a fee for 'not' using a credit card gateways service. If we have clients that do want to pay via credit card then they have the ability to do so using one of these gateways.
The system has worked well. Most importantly of all, this change has saved our clients money. As with any business, if our costs go up we will have to make adjustments in order to maintain profitability. Unlike several larger banks we will not pass a cost on to you where we can help it. We enjoy our work and what we do, we hope to continue to serve the people of Blount County and East Tennessee for many years to come. We are the total solution to your business needs, and we'll always grow our business by offering great service at an affordable price.
Recently we launched a new product called Professional Profile. We've had a few questions about just what all a Professional Profile could be used for and really it's up to your own imagination. Nikki Turnmire contacted us and look what her imagination came up with!
On Something Chic Nikki is offering 'chic' cakes and treats at amazing prices. She also offers a service dubbed 'Entertainment Consultant' where she'll walk you through party planning, color schemes, even come out on site and help you set up! She's known for her 'Ladies Teas' but can help you plan any event that's on your calendar.
Click on over to 'Something Chic' and get started today!
As always, we absolutely love working with businesses that are local to Blount County. We're even more excited when someone brings an event to to town that's sure to bring out the crowds to local vendors while at the same time the patrons pick up great deals themselves; the perfect win-win. With that in mind when we heard that a consignment sale was coming to Foothills Mall we were glad to jump in and give them a hand.
PBJ's Consignment will be held at the Foothills Mall in front of 'Nick of Time'. They currently have vendor spots open and they are of course, welcoming all consignors. They are paying an amazing 75-90% on your goods (depending upon shift worked, etc) Go on over to their site and give them a look. If you have kids clothing that you'd like to sell sign up as a consigner; if you're expecting or already have kids and are in need of some GREAT deals then you don't want to miss this sale! Special thanks to KD Photography Services for their great PB&J shots!
When geekFoundry came into being, Matt and I knew that one important aspect of our business would be helping non-profits where we could. One of our first projects was to work with the Friends of the 278th. I have served on their board for well over a year now as Technical Adviser assisting where needed. The work on this website has been a labor of love for our business. We're pleased to announce that the website is in full force and we ask that you take the time to stop by and check them out. We won't waste a lot of your time going into what they do, all the information is on their website. Check out their Mission page to get the summary. This group has been helping soldiers from the 278th ACR and their families for several years now. It has been a great honor to work with the board in bringing this site to life. There are a few items to tack down that will be done in time. Please take the time to jump over and check out their website at http://www.friendsofthe278th.org
This site will continue to grow as more stories come in. We've gladly helped a lot of troops as of late, we're glad to have them home and stateside once again.
We've been a big fan of Blount Today for several years now. Blount Today is a local publication that seems to be more about the good things of Blount County and what makes this such a great place to live; the location, the businesses, the arts, and most of all the people. So we were more than excited to have the opportunity to work with the great folks at Blount Today on their new project, Blount Moms Today.
Blount Moms Today is a quarterly publication and 24\7 web presence devoted to providing community and information to the moms of Blount County. The team at Blount Moms Today is comprised of local talent that will offer insight on great deals, local business, and community events. The Blount Moms Today team is directed by published author & teen girl director Sarah Herron. Rebecca Tatum of Maryville Moms fame leads the charge on managing their web content and community event calendar. Jen hill, LifeGroup coordinator at Maryville Vineyard church, will take you on a tour of local businesses via their "Where to go Webisodes". Finally, renowned local blogger and money saving queen Christy Bramblett of "Thrifty Christy" will be a contributing writer and prove a great resource for local moms as no one knows how to find a deal better than Christy.
Be sure to check out their website and drop it in your favorites because these guys will have a lot going on in the months to come. We're very honored to be working with the Blount Moms Today team and look forward to the exciting future that lays before them.
We have worked with GingersnapQuilts for a while now. Recently, the focus of their site changed so we were asked to change their site from a gallery based site showcasing their quilt work to one that still showed off the amazing work that they did but would allow for the promotion of their classes and items for sale. Currently Darlene Bakos of GingersnapQuilts is offering punch needle classes at an amazing price especially considering the quality of instruction and nature of her teaching style. The redesigned site has been launched at Phase 1 with Phase 2 launch coming soon. Phase 2 will open up automatic registration for the classes and an online store where you can view the amazing quilts Darlene & company create at GingersnapQuilts. Be sure to visit http://www.gingersnapquilt.com today to see all they have to offer. Remember, Phase 2 will be coming soon and we'll be announcing that as well when it rolls out.
We at geekFoundry want to take a moment and wish all of those we have assisted in the past year and all of those that we will assist in the year to come a very Merry Christmas. We pray that you will enjoy this season in the company of your friends and family in peace. Remember, no matter the situation we're always there to help.
Have a very Merry Christmas and a great 2011!
Shopping for Change came to us with an interesting challenge; a website for an event that was less than 3 weeks away. With a lot of information sharing and a lot of late night hours we're proud to introduce Shopping4Change.com The organizers of the event pull together dozens of vendors and more sponsors than you can think of to help the people of Heaven Sent Home and Haven House, two shelters in Blount County. This annual event is a great opportunity to get your Christmas shopping done early while helping a wonderful cause.
